Tashi Tenzing- Tashi leads groups on a range of Adventures to his homeland of Nepal. Tashis’ adventures include a recent ascent of Everest. Tashis’ leadership helped Michael Groom become the first Australian to climb three 8000m peaks. A Sherpa national, a successful mountaineer and grandson of the famed Tenzing Norgay Sherpa Tashi has many a story to share.
Dr Peter Sullivan- Dr Peter Sullivan is the Medical Research Officer at the Australian Antarctic Division in Hobart. Peter has wintered three times at various Antarctic stations and he has been Medical Officer on a number of summer voyages and expeditions. His main areas of clinical expertise are cold injuries, hypothermia and diving medicine.
Dr Mike Pook - Mike Pook is well known to Tasmanians as the "ABC Weatherperson". He has extensive experience in Meteorology Instruction and presenting the Weather to the general public. Mike has worked as a meteorologist in Antarctica, Papua New Guinea, Western Australia and Tasmania. Most recently Mike completed his Ph.D. at the Institute of Antarctic and Southern Ocean Studies (at the University of Tasmania).
Chris Pidd - Chris is a freelance Clown, Entertainer, Thespian and Raconteur of things humorous. On a serious note Chris has a background in Child Education, the entertainment industry and Circus.
Dr Andrew Climie - Andrew is a specialist in Emergency Medicine at the Department of Emergency Medicine , Royal Hobart Hospital. Along with expertise in emergency medicine Andrew has worked remotely in the Antarctic on several occasions and has a specialist interest in remote area medical care.
Mike McCall - Mike is a specialist Paramedic Clinical support Officer with the Tasmanian Ambulance Service and regularly participates in Wilderness Medevacs and regularly provides specialist support to the Tasmania Police.
Anne Currant - Anne has been a course leader with National Emergency Services for many years although Anne may be more commonly known for her part in the innovations that led to the success of Cradle Mountain Lodge and Strahan Village. As a Registered Nurse, Mountain Leader and a specialist in all matters culinary Anne has many an insight on Nutrition and Hydration for the Rescuer
Kent Clifton-Bligh -
Having participated in and lead 100’s of searches Kent is one of
Australia's most experienced Search & Rescue professionals. In his spare time Kent is a Dive Instructor, Ski Instructor, has his pilots licence and acts as a consultant to the Film industry. Kent is a TEAM player who encourages networking and a multi-disciplinary approach to the often
complex search scenario.
Bevis “Fred” Dutton - Fred is a uniquely experienced Caver and Rescue Specialist. Not only has Fred walked almost all of
Tasmania's Wilderness he has pioneered many new caves. As a Regional Manager in the Tasmanian State Emergency Service Fred has a wealth of emergency planning and coordination experience that, combined with his practical experience, make him one of
Australia's foremost authorities on Cave Rescue.
Ted Bugg - Ted is a Ranger with Tasmania's Parks and Wildlife department as well as an avid recreationalist. Recently Ted was one of a select TEAM that journeyed to
Mawson's “ Home of the Blizzard “ to assist
in the preservation of Mawson's Hut at Commonwealth Bay Antarctica.
